Replacing Flossie Malavialle at short notice (Flossie is stuck in
Spain without a return flight...)Jez Lowe For the last twenty-five years, Jez has toured the world, building up a formidable reputation in the USA, Australia and Europe, and gaining the respect of his peers and his audience alike. Folk supremo Richard Thompson called him "the best songwriter to emerge from the UK in a long time", and his songs are among the most widely sung by folksingers and bands around the country's clubs and festivals. His new album NORTHERN ECHOES has just won album of the year in the US as part of the Indie Acoustic Project Awards. The live double disc set that features 17 classic Jez Lowe songs recorded 'Live on the Tyne' with his full band, plus a 'Song for Geordie' DVD that mixes documentary and music footage from his tour of the same name in 2007. Indeed in December 2007 Jez was nominated for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards as 'Folksinger of the Year'.

“After four years on BBC1's "That's Life!" Grant Baynham became a
household name. He is a formidable songwriter and has an energy and
enthusiasm which create a high-powered performance of material from
virtually every genre you can imagine. He's also one of the funniest
people I have ever met.” Hilary on Grant“Hilary has one of the most staggering voices in British acoustic music. Most folk fans will know it well from her work with top trio Artisan. If you haven't yet heard her live, then the CDs will be, firstly, a quite-possibly-life-changing treat and, secondly, a demonstration of her breath-taking range of tone and mood.”
